Seeing Daylight is an energetic, modern country band originating from central Illinois and playing throughout the heart of the Midwest. The group is comprised of seasoned musicians Michael Webb, most notable as the versatile showman from City Limits Band (vocalist, lead guitar, fiddle, steel guitar, mandolin, banjo); guitarist/vocalist Josh Hutchison and drummer James Ryan formerly of Saturday Nite Special; bassist Rich Tague; and the newest member, Jessi James, on lead vocals, guitar, and harmony. Though primarily a top-40 country band, Seeing Daylight also performs southern and classic rock, a touch of classic country, and their own original songs.
Collectively, the band members of Seeing Daylight have headlined state and county fairs, including the Illinois State Fair, Springfield, IL; Iowa State Fair, Des Moines, IA; Macon County Fair, Decatur, IL; Morgan County Fair, Jacksonville, IL; Sangamon County Fair, New Berlin, IL; Christian County Fair, Taylorville, IL; and Menard County Fair, Petersburg, IL. They’ve also played a multitude of country oprys, festivals, homecomings, political events, night clubs, and fundraisers, as well as shared the stage with numerous national recording artists. While relatively a new band, Seeing Daylight has opened to Bucky Convington, Chuck Wicks, Jason Meadows, and Mike McClure. Individual band members have opened to Jason Aldean, Gretchen Wilson, Shooter Jennings, Luke Bryan, Chris Young, LoCash Cowboys, Brady Seals, Restless Heart, Marty Stewart, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buck Owens, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty, Ray Stevens, Lee Greenwood, Jerry Reed, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynett, Tanya Tucker, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Waylon Jennings, and a host of additional classic country artists.
